Activities Available for Our Poway Seniors
Join the World of FUN Online Learning for Seniors!
Want to learn about the year 1492, the year Columbus sailed the ocean blue? Maybe you want to learn more about how to achieve lasting happiness? Or Conquer Your IPhone?
Poway Seniors can explore hundreds of learning opportunities through a collaboration between the Poway Senior Center and San Diego Oasis.
Poway Senior Center is offering a limited amount of vouchers for Poway Seniors to participate in online learning classes for FREE!

Eligibility requirements include:
Living in the 92064 zip code or a registered member of the Poway Senior Center
Must be 60 years or older
Eligible Seniors are granted ONE voucher valued up to $20 per class per month.
There are a limited amount of vouchers available per month. Vouchers will be distributed by eligibility and on a first come first served basis.

Memory ALive! with Lisa Randall, MS
Lisa Randall is a Memory Educator based in Encinitas, California. She is offering free weekly interactive classes to seniors interested in learning the foundations of building a memorable lifestyle. Lisa will provide memory strengthening exercises to increase and optimize your best memory. All seniors are invited to attend!
Classes held weekly on Wednesdays at 11am beginning November 4th.
There is no charge for the class!

Silver Age Yoga
In conjunction with San Diego County's Aging and Independence Services, Silver Age Yoga offers a series of pre-recorded one hour long classes with Certified Silver Age Yoga Instructor Helena Bray.

Music4Kids San Diego
Music4Kids is a non-profit youth organization that brings music education opportunities to underprivileged children, as well as collects and refurbishes musical instruments to rent and donate. Music4Kids shares its love of music through performances, free music lessons, instrument up cycling and much more. Music should never be hindered by borders or price, and Music4Kids believes that everyone deserves to have the joy of music.

North County String Ensemble
North County String Ensemble is comprised of acclaimed composers and musicians ranging in age from older students to adults. The group has been invited and featured to state and international performances, including the California International Music and Arts Festival.

V!va Folklórico
The Poway Senior center is thrilled to share V!va Folklórico's musical performance in celebration of Dí De Los Muertos! This day is celebrated the 1st of November every year. Please click here to see the performance.

The Feeling Fit Club
The Feeling Fit Club is a functional fitness program designed for older adults. While in-person classes are not available at this time, older adults can exercise with the Feeling Fit Club at home! Click here to visit the County News Center website or view episodes on TV:

TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly)
TOPS Inc. has been helping others lose weight since 1948. Are you interested in losing weight this year? If you are interested in joining the Poway TOPS group please contact Susan Roy at 858-603-0017 or email her at suziequte51@icloud.com. Due to the pandemic, there are no meetings being held before the weigh-in. Weekly weigh-ins are being held at the Poway Library at 13137 Poway Rd on the patio every Friday from 10:30 to 11:15 am.
